What types of businesses does Ignite Payments serve?

Whether you are starting a new business or expanding an existing one, Ignite Payments has the payment solution to support your processing needs. Ignite Payments serves traditional, Internet business, as well as restaurants, mail order/telephone order, and home-based business.
What credit card types may I accept?
You will automatically be set up to process VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express is optional.
How long before the merchant account becomes accessible and I can process credit and/or ATM/debit cards?
Merchant accounts are generally approved within two business days and merchants can process the next business day.
Am I required to have a retail storefront to process credit cards?
This is not a requirement.
Will I need to purchase additional equipment?
You will not need any hardware, but you will need on our our real-time gateway systems or PC software programs if you don't already have a system in place.
What happens after my application is approved?
You will be notified by phone and email and we will assist you with set-up procedures.
What type of bank account do I need?
You will need a business checking account. Your bank must allow this account to be credited and debited via ACH methods.
What is a monthly minimum?
Set by Visa, MasterCard the monthly minimum fee is not an extra fee, but rather a minimum amount that is set by Visa and Mastercard that they need to have in fees. As long as your credit card fees meet or exceed this minimum, you are not charged any extra fees. However, if your monthly fees are less than this minimum, then you are charged the difference up to the minimum. For example, if you have $20 in rate fees in a given month, and your account has a $25 monthly minimum on it, you will be charged an additional $5 to meet the monthly minimum.
Who will review the information on my application?
Our merchant underwriting and activation group will review your application. The information you provide is kept confidential.

How is Ignite Payments able to offer credit card processing?
Ignite Payments is a registered service provider for our MasterCard and Visa sponsored banking institutions. With this sponsorship, Ignite Payments provides clearing and settlement of merchant funds via the interchange system.
Can I be approved if I have bad credit or no credit?
We maintain one of the highest approval rates in the industry.
How am I paid for my transactions processe
There are four steps to getting your money—initiating, authorizing, completing the transaction and receiving your funds.

When do my transactions get funded?
Usually within two to three business days after you submit your batches to Ignite Payments.
How are my funds protected?
Ignite Payments is equipped to address the key protection issues of both traditional and Internet merchants, including fraud, loss prevention and chargebacks.
